Mr. James R. Thomas Jr. 's Obituary
James R. Thomas, Jr., age 86, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 in Madison, Tennessee. James was born on January 23, 1931 in Hartsville, Tennessee to James and Gracie Thomas.
Mr. Thomas served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He enjoyed being on the computer, going to NASCAR races and traveling with his wife, Wanda. He cherished his family and the life that he had been blessed with. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madison.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Cecil Thomas.
James is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Wanda (Thornton) Thomas; son, Kenneth Edward Thomas; grandson, Jared Kenneth Thomas; brother, Alfred Thomas; sister-in-law, Rose Mary McCormick. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 4-8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with an additional visitation held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 9am until the time of service beginning at 10 am at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
