Mr. James Alfred Whitehead Sr.'s Obituary
James Alfred Whitehead Sr, age 84, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 14, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Uel and Margie Whitehead; one daughter, Teresa Lynn Whitehead; one son, Christopher C. Whitehead; nine brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son James Whitehead Jr.(Valerie); one daughter, Mary Ellen Blackburn; one sister, Ellen Lockhart; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren. James loved birds and enjoyed raising and caring for them. He also enjoyed hunting ginseng, long walks, and gardening. Above all his children were his life and were everything to him. He would help anyone in need having never met a stranger. James was considered a hard working and kind man his entire life. He will be missed by all those who knew him and loved him.
Visitation for James will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 11 AM until 2 PM at which time a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted from Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 27216. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
