Mrs. Jane Barnwell Frye Lodl's Obituary
Jane Barnwell Frye Lodl, age 83 of Madison, Tennessee passed away
unexpectedly at her home on December 1, 2021. She was born on
January 27, 1938 to the late Harvey Frye, Sr. and Agnes Barnwell
Frye. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Stanley Lodl;
sons Joe Lodl (Lauren), Jim Lodl, and John Lodl (Jennifer);
grandchildren Joshua, Adrien, Matthew, Pierce and Jude Lodl;
brother Harvey Frye, Jr. (Sarah); nephews Gerald Frye and Alan Frye;
niece Susan Roberge; and extended family.
Jane married the love of her life, Stanley in 1968. She graduated from Martin Methodist College with an associate degree. She had been a
medical technician at Memorial Hospital and then became a loving
mother to her three boys. She was a longtime, active member of St.
Joseph Catholic Church. She spent many years working at St. Joseph
Catholic School in the cafeteria. She enjoyed reading, baking, gardening, painting, and knitting. She never met a stranger and was
loved by all who knew her. The most important part of her life was
her family. She loved being around her children and
grandchildren. She was a true example of Proverbs 31: a virtuous
woman.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, 12:00 noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be with Monday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home with a Rosary Service beginning at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Joseph School student tuition assistance fund.
