Ms. Janet Marie Jarrett, age 65 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021. She was born on August 19, 1955 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her brother William “Timmy” Melton and father Dee Melton. She is survived by her mother, Annie Melton, her children Teresa Melton, Dale Jarrett, Roger Jarrett, Jr., and Miranda Jarrett; sisters Gloria Morton (Michael) and Penny Meals (Bobby); brothers Sandy Melton (Peggy) and Mark Brunker (Teresa); grandchildren Brandon Melton, Matthew Jarrett, Jordan Jarrett, Kayla Jarrett, and Dale Jarrett, Jr. Janet is also survived by a host of loving extended family and friends.
Janet was a vibrant, kind, and beautiful person. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She was always willing to help someone in need, even if it meant that she had to go without. She loved The Lord and showed His love through her selfless and giving spirit. Her children and grandchildren were everything to her. She loved them fiercely, and spoiled her grandkids rotten. Janet loved spending time outside. Whether it was growing flowers, working in the yard, taking the grandkids to the park, or simply sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds, if Janet was out in the sunshine, she was happy. Janet meant so very much to so many, and she will be dearly missed.
