Mrs. Jean S. Anderson's Obituary
Jean S. Anderson, 91, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Born November 6, 1931, in Old Hickory, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Thomas Scott and Claudia Pearl Moser Scott.
She was a graduate of Isaac Litton High School’s Class of 1949. She was the secretary for Madison Church of Christ for 21 years. Her greatest joys were family, cooking and tending to her azaleas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Alvie Anderson, Jr.; grandson Russell Abbott; sisters Elizabeth Hinman, Anna Anderton, Frances Carter.
She is survived by her daughter Karen (David) Abbott; son Steven A. Anderson; granddaughter Katherine (Eric) Devins; great grandchildren Bryson and Lila Abbott, Margot and Brady Devins; granddaughter-in-law Katherine Frick; brother Alvin Scott.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 10, from 12 pm noon until 2:15 pm. A graveside service with Michael Davis officiating will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Jean requested that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.
