Mrs. Jean Dozier Cunningham's Obituary
Jean Dozier Cunningham, age 82 of Nashville, passed away September 22, 2015. Mrs. Cunningham was born in Nashville on June 14, 1933, to the late Clarence and Margaret Dozier.
Jean was a devoted wife and mother who put family first. She met Edgar, the love of her life, in high school and the loving couple was married for 60 years. Jean was a very spirited person, known for being feisty and cantankerous.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Jean Robbins (Paul); sons, Kenneth Allen Cunningham, Sr. (Karen) and Michael Edward Cunningham; grandchildren, Melissa Ann Reagan (Jonathan), Kenneth Allen Cunningham, Jr., Jeanie Lynn Cunningham, and Quentin Matthew Cunningham; and great-grandchild, Branson Van Cunningham.
Jean’s family will receive visitors on Sunday, September 27, 2015, from 4pm until 8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Additional visitation will take place on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 9am until 11am. Chaplain Gene Lovelace will lead funeral services for Jean on Monday at 11am in the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
