Mrs. Jeane Elizabeth Brooks Greene's Obituary
Jeane Elizabeth Brooks Greene, 92, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Born March 19, 1929 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Selton Brooks and Charlie Nolan Ford Brooks.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed dearly. Family, church and home were the most important things in her life. Jeane was a wonderful homemaker who was dedicated to being a mother. She and her husband were loyal members of St. Luke Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Madison for over 50 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Dr. Arthur Brooks, Ruth Williams, Evelyn White, Charles Brooks, Billy Brooks, and Baxter Brooks.
She is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, Charles E. Greene, Sr.; children Charles “Eddie” (Joyce) Greene, Jr., Brenda (Richard) Wall, and Shelia Pugh; sisters Nancy Ortiz and Marion Teague; grandchildren Aaron (Viktoria) Wall, Emily Carroll, Esther Greene, and Hannah Greene; great grandchildren Ben and Jonah Wall.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28 at St. Luke Cumberland Presbyterian Church 901 W. Old Hickory Blvd. in Madison from 10 AM until 12 PM noon. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 12 PM officiated by Rev. Taylor Young. Burial will take place in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
