Jerry R. Day's Obituary
Jerry Riley Day, 79, of Nashville, TN passed away in Memphis on December 25, 2024. He was born on September 11, 1945, in Nashville, Tennessee, To Ernest and Pearl Day, Jr.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Joyce Day, parents Ernest Day, Jr., and Pearl Day, brother, Therman Day, and sisters, Virginia Scoggins and Margie Judd.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are Terry (Tiffany) Day, brother, Wayne (Jean) Day, sister, Barbara Utley, grandchildren, Trinity Day and Orion Day.
Jerry loved working on his truck, a highly favored blue ‘76 Ford Explorer truck. After a hard day at work, he could often be found under the hood or underneath the chassis, tinkering and improving like a professional mechanic. In the background, his favorite tunes like Elvis, were playing on the nearby radio.
Jerry was a quiet man that enjoyed one on one conversations and stayed in the background. He was a good provider for his family and was a hard worker all of his life.
Pall bearers will be Steve Lamb, Drew Stokes, Paul Woodward, Travis Sullivan, Mark Bouch, Alex Miller, Isaac Miller.
