Mr. Jerry Owen King's Obituary
Jerry Owen King, age 68, of Mt. Juliet passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015. He was born October 2, 1946 in Nashville to the late Owen and Naomi (Zink) King. He is also preceded in death by his son, Jonathon King; sister, Edna Alexander; and niece, Heather King.
Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam and was a general contractor for Mt. Juliet Woodworks for 20 years. He was an avid golfer and was a member of several golfing associations. Jerry also enjoyed softball so much that he coached his daughters softball team when she was younger..
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Ashley Burns (Michael); brother, Richard “Poe” King; grandson, Matthew; grandson, Chase; granddaughter, Micaela; niece, Holly King; best friend, Andrea Hinkle and other longtime friends.
Visitation will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home Friday, May 29th from 4-8 p.m.
A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 from the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Sidney Hinkle speaking. Interment will be at a later date, at Nashville National Cemetery.
