Mr. Jerry Evans Mick's Obituary
Jerry Evans Mick, 85, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Born November 15, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late William Harry Mick and Vera Evans Mick.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed dearly. Jerry was an excellent salesman who had retired from United Parcel Service. He and his wife, Carole, were members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Madison for 56 years. Mr. Mick loved sports and worked as a high school referee with TSSAA for many years, and as a softball umpire in the Parkwood neighborhood. His family will remember him as someone who loved a good poker game, enjoyed spending time with friends at the East Nashville YMCA and cherished his family trips to Daytona Beach.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas Mick and William Mick.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carole Utz Mick; children Debbie (Eric) Heflin, Julie (Dan) Todd, Diane (Jim) Ferguson, and Jerry Michael Mick; grandchildren Terri Keith, Joey Heflin, Kerry (Katie) Meadows, Tom (Amber) Mogan, and Danny Mogan; great grandchildren Clarice & Christopher Keith, Mack & Lylah Meadows, and Emmy & Tommy Mogan.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 18 from 4 pm until 8 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville with a Rosary Service taking place at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Tuesday, April 19, at 10 am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Madison. Family will receive friends and visitors one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
