Mr. Jerry Dale Russell's Obituary
Mr. Jerry Dale Russell, age 61, of Portland, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021. He was born on September 1, 1959 in Madison, Tennessee to the late Windle Eugene and Allene Rusell. He is survived by his siblings Wanda Russell, Diane Spence, Grady Russell, Wendell Russell (Connie), and Vickie Ginn. He is also survived by his nephews Jason Russell, Dale Russell, Dustin Russell, and David Spence; nieces Ashley Russell, Jessica Ginn, and Jennifer Ginn; and his great-nieces and great-nephews Kyana Moss, Clayton Russell, Isabella Russell, Kason Moss, and Neely Russell; as well as his Aunts Edith Schmidt and Earline Smith, and a host of extended family and friends.
Jerry was just an all around good guy. He was loving, strong willed, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was quite the prankster, and could always make you laugh. He enjoyed traveling and camping, as well as playing bingo, and spending time with his lifelong friends. He was strong in his Christian faith. To put it simply, Jerry loved life. He was loved by many, and will be missed by all who knew him.
A Visitation will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 4pm-8pm, and again on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 9am-11am, with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service beginning at 11am in the Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 1pm in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Spring Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final care of Mr. Russell.
