Mr. Jesse Houchin's Obituary
Jesse James Houchin, 60, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Born January 17, 1962, in Nashville, he was the son of the late Jesse George Houchin and Frances Warren Houchin.
Jesse recently retired from Spring Hill Cemetery where he had been a groundskeeper since 1994. He took pride in caring for the loved ones who chose Spring Hill as their final resting place, and it showed in his work. Though quiet and reserved, Jesse would give you the shirt off his back if he thought it would help. He will be deeply missed by both is family and his Spring Hill family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Linda McEwen and Josie Graham; brother Johnny Houchin.
He is survived by his sons Nicholas Andrew Houchin and Christopher Houchin; sisters Shirley Morse, Mary Canfield, and Cathy Canfield; brothers William Houchin, Joseph (Rene) Houchin, and Roger (Pam) Houchin; grandchildren Devon, Dawson, Gavin, Jacob, Waylon and Willow; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, May 23 from 10 am until 12 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville with a graveside service officiated by Dr. Kevin Shrum following at noon in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
