I was Mr Joines nurse at Jubilee Hills and he was my grandfather that I never had. The first time I met him he witnessed to me. What he didn't realize was that my parents were born again Christians and he was a gift to me. I thank God every day for the gift of being able to spend time with him. I had to work the day of his funeral but I want his family to know how much I loved him and how grateful I was for the gift of his stories and his Godly love . He was an amazing man

Brother Joines,
You were our pastor our friend and kept us sheltered when we had lost our father. Without your support and friendship we would have never made it back home to Nashville. Our whole family loves you and most certainly wishes you Godspeed. There will never be another like you. I thank you for shining a light for me so I found my way to the Lord. I owe you so much. You will be missed so much. I'll never forget singing with you in church and standing behind the baptism pool with Miss Eunice the day you baptized me. I know heaven is rejoicing that you have come home.....Down here on Earth we will miss you so much.
Mr. Jim was a wonderful friend & customer, I cut his hair for many years and enjoyed our many visits & talks, lots of talks about the Lord. . My sincere prayer to Roy & family as I know he will be greatly missed.
Jim was a true servant of God. I had the distinct pleasure and blessing of knowing him over the past several years through my job with JHSL.. What an inspiration he was to so many people. I have no doubt that he is dancing and praising our Lord in Heaven. He will be missed by many, but what an amazing life he lived. I will always remember and miss his gentle tender fist bumps and hugs. To Roy, Judy, Henry, Pat and the rest of the family. Please know that you are in my sincere thoughts and prayers. God bless you and keep you in his loving arms of comfort.
