Mr. Jimmy Wayne Lackey Sr.'s Obituary
Jimmy Wayne Lackey, Sr., 77, of Nashville, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023 in Lebanon, Tennessee. Born December 24, 1945, in Nashville, he was the son of the late Fount Owen Lackey, Sr. and Stella Ruth Putman Lackey.
Mr. Lackey had no filter and would tell you exactly what he was thinking. He enjoyed singing karaoke and watching wrasslin’. Jimmy operated a roadside vegetable stand. If you bought 2 tomatoes from him, you left with 5. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed dearly.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother Donald Lackey.
He is survived by his sons Denis (Deann) Lackey and Jimmy Wayne (Stephanie) Lackey, Jr.; grandchildren Luke (Cam) Lackey, Mia Taylor, and Taylor Elizabeth Lackey; great grandchild Mila Marshall; sister Patricia Gammon; brothers Fount Owen (Marie) Lackey, Jr., Gary (Phyllis) Lackey, and Phillip (Karen) Lackey.
Visitation will be held from 10 am until 12 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville on Saturday, August 12. A Celebration of Life Service officiated by Roger Russell will follow at 12 pm noon. Burial will take place in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
