Jimmy Lee Lindsey — A Life Well Lived
July 3rd, 1943 – December 6th, 2025
We celebrate the beautiful life of Jimmy Lee Lindsey, born in Paris, Tennessee, whose steady hands, and bright spirit shaped Wilson County for more than six decades. Known as a legend for digging footers, he laid the groundwork—literally—for countless homes and projects, leaving sturdy proof of his hard work across the community.
Away from the job site, Jimmy found joy on the golf course and peace on the water with a fishing rod in hand. Time with family always topped the list, turning simple gatherings into treasured memories.
Wilson County residents often pointed to foundations he built as signs of lasting quality. The pride he took in every footer matched the pride neighbors felt in calling him a friend and trusted craftsman.
Jimmy’s family story is rich and enduring. He was predeceased by Willard Edgar Lindsey Sr. and Vinnie May Lindsay; brothers, Willard Lindsey Jr., John Lindsey, George Lindsey; sisters, Novella Farmer, Bessie Estes, and Mary Reeves; companion of 15 years, Jimmie Dean Browning. His children Cynthia Farwick and Jimmy Lindsey Jr. predeceased him as well. He is survived by brother Harvey Lindsey; step-daughter Susan (Ray) Martin; grandchildren, Garret (Savannah) Farwick, Ben Farwick, Lindsey (Nick) Crumpley; great-grandchildren, Cynthia Rose Farwick, Abraham Farwick, Autumn Crumpley and Ella Crumpley who carry forward his love and determination.
Today we remember Jimmy with smiles, grateful for the firm foundations—both concrete and heartfelt—he placed in our lives. May every round of golf and calm fishing spot bring back a story of his steady presence and joyful spirit.
