Mr. Jimmy H. Smith's Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmy H. Smith of Nashville, Tennessee.
Jimmy was born on June 25, 1972 to the late James H. Smith and Peggy Martin. He was a true family man as well as a beloved grandfather, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Jimmy took great pride in his work as an electrician. He worked for Gephart, the Electrical Workers Local Union 429. He also enjoyed working on vehicles. He will always be remembered as the family jokester. He always did have a wise crack, but he never failed to brightening our lives with his love and contagious smile.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his father James H. Smith; grandmother Daisy Martin; brother-in-law Randle Carter; nephew Jeffery Carter, and best friend Bobby W. Gidcomb, Jr.
He is survived by his mother Peggy Smith; sons Christopher (Kelly) Boyd, Ryan Bowman; sisters Cynthia Carter, Mae Dean Smith, Teresa Willis; brother Bryan Smith; grandchildren Wyatt, Waylon, and Weston; nephews Josh Carter, Matthew Carter, Bryson Sanders; his nieces include Ariana Ledbetter and Kylee Smith and an extensive circle of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, January 29, 2022, 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Hubert Cunningham officiating. Burial followed in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation was Friday, January 28, 2022 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, Tennessee, 37216, 615-865-1101, www.springhillfh.com.
