Jo Loveless Hardison's Obituary
Jo Loveless Hardison, 92, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away June 28, 2024. She was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee, on April 28, 1932, to Joe and Effie Knighton.
Before marriage and raising her family, she worked briefly at the Federal Reserve but later devoted herself to her home and family. She met the love of her life, William Hardison, and their marriage of 68 years was blessed with two children, David and Theresa.
Jo was an active long-time member of the Pennington Fellowship Church. She taught children’s Sunday School and was active in the children’s ministry for many years.
Jo was a consummate storyteller and loved sharing stories with everyone she met. She had a gift of making friends out of new acquaintances and enjoyed learning more about them.
Mama Jo had a huge, sweet tooth but never discriminated against any when it came to dessert.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William David Hardison, son, David Allen Hardison, and daughter, Theresa Hardison Latta.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are grandson, Travis Hardison Latta, niece and nephew, Marguerite Woolfe and Samuel M. Woolfe, and a host of church family and friends.
Family and friends will gather Friday evening July 5, 2024, at Spring Hill Funeral Home from 5pm until 7 pm, and Saturday, from 1pm until 2pm. A celebration of Jo’s life will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 2 pm with burial at Spring Hill Cemetery to follow.
