Ms. Joan Hewgley's Obituary
Joan Elizabeth (Stewart) Hewgley, age 81, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 in Hendersonville. Joan was born on May 5, 1939 in Nashville to the late Elliot and Sarah (McConnell) Stewart.
Joan enjoyed the time that she would spend playing Dominos with her friends from Litton High School; she always looked forward to that and was the highlight of her days. She is remembered by her family as being a Vanderbilt fan. Joan can be described as the perfect mother and cherished her friends and family. She enjoyed the life that she was blessed with. Joan placed her faith in Christ and was a member of the Hendersonville First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a son, Chris Hewgley.
Joan is survived by her son, Steve Hewgley; brothers, Elliot Stewart, Jr. (Wanda) and Steve Stewart (Diane); granddaughter, Stevie Hewgley. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 10 am in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
