Kathy Joanne Barnes Jackson, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, February 22, 2024 at age 66 in Madison, TN. Joanne was born July 14, 1957 to Jack and Kathleen Barnes in Gatlinburg, TN, and lived in Pigeon Forge until age five. While she lived the rest of her life in Madison, she always kept East Tennessee close to her heart.
She married her husband Joe on December 3, 1988, and together they had two children, Bailey and Carter, whom she loved deeply. Joanne’s career in banking spanned over 40 years, including at Pinnacle Financial Partners, where she worked from its founding until her health prevented her from continuing.
She placed high value on personal relationships and will be remembered for her dedication, drive, empathy, and love of people. Joanne was devoted to her community and gave her all in everything she did including her favorite hobbies, painting and gardening.
Joanne is preceded in death by her father Jack Bailey Barnes and her mother Kathleen Loveday Barnes. She is survived by her devoted husband Joe Jackson; daughter Bailey Jackson (Dustin Williams); son Carter Jackson; and grandaughter Samaya Jackson-Williams. She is also survived by her mother Judy Barnes; sister Jackie (David) Daniel; brother Jeff (Carol) Barnes; brother Jerry (Lori) Barnes; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
If your life was touched by Joanne, her family invites you to join them in celebrating her life. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26th, 2024, from four o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening, and on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, from eleven o'clock in the morning until twelve o'clock in the afternoon, with a celebration of life service and burial to follow at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216.

Joanne’s spirit will live on as a woman who loved well and lived life to the fullest.
