Joe E. Taylor, age 87, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Eron Taylor; wife of 48 years, Theresa Taylor; one daughter, Kim Ella Rush (Jerry); one brother, Charles Taylor. His is survived by two daughters, Keena Austin, Kerri Adamson (Ed); one son, Jody Taylor (Beth); nine grandchildren, Jeremy Rush (Jude), Justin Rush, Brandeis Austin, Candace Austin, Mandie Nokes, Brittney Ross, Christen Nokes (Harold), Joe E. Taylor III, Benjamin Wade Taylor; Fifteen great-grandchildren. Joe loved golf, cards, going to the lake, hosting BBQ partys, gardening, taking family vacations and spending time with them. He was kind and would help anyone in need having never met a stranger.
Visitation for Joe will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 1 PM until 2 PM at which time a Celebration of Life Service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel. Services will be livestreamed and the link provided at the top of this obituary on the day of service. Burial will be private for the family in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
