Johanne Higginson-Rollins' Obituary
A Celebration of the Life of Johanne Higginson-Rollins
December 16th, 1959 – April 19th, 2026
With grateful hearts for God’s promise of everlasting life, we honor Johanne Higginson-Rollins. Her journey on earth closed on April 19th, 2026, and we commend her spirit to God’s loving care.
Born on December 16th, 1959, Johanne was the daughter of Jean-Guy Bédard and Denise Gagnon, both now resting with the Lord. From childhood she showed the resilient and hardworking spirit that later marked her adult life. Those qualities deepened through years of steady faith.
Johanne’s relationship with God remained at the center of her days. In later years she lived out Christian stewardship by rescuing neighborhood cats, seeing every creature as part of God’s creation.
At home, Johanne shared generous hospitality, offering French onion soup, chicken parmesan, and fresh coffee to loved ones. Music filled her kitchen as she danced to Donna Summer, Michael Jackson, and Pink Floyd. She also enjoyed antiquing, always searching for a piece that spoke to her loyal heart. Friends and family remember her sense of humor and her caring nature.
Johanne is survived by her son Marc Higginson-Rollins and daughter Paige Higginson-Rollins, her sister Sylvie Lachapelle, her nieces Karine, Valérie, and Magalie, and her nephews Dany and Jonathan. She rejoins in heaven her father Jean-Guy, mother Denise, and brother Denis Bédard. Together we give thanks for the generous life she shared with us.
May the God of all comfort grant peace to her loved ones, and may Johanne rest in the eternal light of Christ.
