Mr. John Lewis Bevill's Obituary
John Lewis Bevill, age 90 of Nashville and formerly of Ft. Smith, AR passed away April 30, 2013. Mr. Bevill was a highly decorated veteran of World War II landing in Normandy; he was awarded the EAME Theater Ribbon, two bronze service stars, World War II Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and a Bronze Star. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ivey Justine Bevill; parents, Walter Henry Bevill and Ada Davis Bevill; sisters, Christine McGuire and Mary Hocking, brother Albert Bevill; mother-in-law, Ivey Lou Fuller. Survived by daughters Paula Bevill of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Cheryl Bevill of Nashville, TN; special nephew, Frank “Rusty” McCrady; numerous nephews and nieces and grand nephews and grand nieces, and best friends Terry and Julie Oldham. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 2nd from 6 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4th at 11 A.M. in Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
