Mr. John Boone's Obituary
John Lee Boone, age 85, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. John was born on August 27, 1931 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Floyd Boone and Willie Mae (Aldridge) Boone.
John enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He also enjoyed time that he was able to spend on the computer and thoroughly enjoyed reading. He looked forward to the times that he would be able to go eat with his friends, especially at Cracker Barrel. John was lovingly referred to as the “cookie monster” because of his love for eating cookies. He had a dry but hilarious sense of humor and cherished the life that he was given. Mr. Boone was a member of the Rivergate Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Boone; sisters, Janie Boone and Louise Weynick.
John is survived by his loving wife, Linda Warren Boone; two brothers, Joe Boone, Doug Boone and his wife, Linda; a host of nieces and nephews; his dog that he adored, Max. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with an additional visitation on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
