Mr. John Fairman's Obituary
John Afton Fairman, age 88, of Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of Joelton, TN; passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at The Adams Place Rehabilitation Center in Murfreesboro. John was born on March 6, 1928 in Creekside, PA to Afton Kyle and Hazel (Seyler) Fairman.
Mr. Fairman retired from the U.S. Army and the U.S. Postal Service.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his son, John Fairman; one sister, Cleo Miller; four brothers, Lancer Fairman, Gene Fairman, Stuart Fairman, and Carlisle Fairman.
Mr. Fairman is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances (Proctor) Fairman, one daughter, Lynette Hallauer and husband, George; one brother, Harland Fairman and wife, Vonnie; three sisters, Bernice Roth and husband, Jack, Cheryl Miller, and Linda Wyatt; four grandchildren, William Fairman, Catherine Fairman, Afton Hallauer, and Jackson Hallauer; one great-grandchild, Britney Fairman. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 12 noon – 2:00 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
