John Henry Hedge IV's Obituary
It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of John Henry Hedge IV, who died suddenly on July 17, 2026, at the age of 55. John was born on December 21, 1970, in Nashville, Tennessee to John Henry Hedge III and JoAnn (Beach) Hedge.
He was a graduate of Page High School in Franklin, Tennessee, and attended Middle Tennessee State University. To know John was to love him. He had a heart as big as his smile and a laugh that could fill a room. His quick wit, generous spirit and unforgettable sense of humor brought happiness to countless lives. John strived to live in a way that left people better than he found them.
A devoted sports fan, John especially looked forward to football season. He enthusiastically cheered for his all-time favorite team, the Alabama Crimson Tide, and rarely missed the opportunity to watch a game with friends and family. While sports brought him excitement, it was the relationships built, shared laughter, and the memories he created that gave meaning to his life.
John was preceded in death by his beloved mother, JoAnn (Beach) Hedge; his paternal grandparents, John and Gladys Hedge; and his maternal grandparents, Delma and Vera Mae Beach. John’s life was defined by his love of family and friends.
He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Jennifer Johnson Hedge; his two daughters that he truly adored, Kelsie Hedge and Paisley Hedge; his step-sons, Bobby Clark and Bryson Clark; his father and stepmother, John Henry Hedge III and Diane Hedge; his sister and brother-in-law, Christie and Robert Schultz; his sister, Tameron Hedge; beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins and countless lifelong friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor and generous heart. He will be deeply missed, forever loved and remembered.
A visitation to celebrate John’s life will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee on Friday, August 7th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, concluded by a eulogy at 12:30 pm. A private graveside service for immediate family will take place at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to a Legacy Education Trust established for his 12 year-old daughter, Paisley. Details to follow.
