Mr. John Ray McGlasson Sr's Obituary
John Ray McGlasson Sr. born November 15, 1936 in Cedarvale, KS entered into eternal rest June 15, 2017 in Williamson County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard McGlasson, Dolly Green McGlasson; brother, Delbert McGlasson; and sister, Nedra Giles.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Paulette Tuck McGlasson; son, John (Janelle) Ray McGlasson Jr; daughters, Terry (Obed) Sampson, Christie (James) Manning, Tanya McGlasson; brothers, Carl McGlasson, Robert McGlasson, Elman (Betty) McGlasson; sister, Dixie Trotter; grandchildren, Gianni McGlasson, Aubrey McGlasson, Caiden McGlasson, Bryanna Manning, Kala McGlasson, Daven McGlasson, Brendan McGlasson, Mark Sampson, Justina Baker, Jeremy Sampson, Mary Chamberlain, Jerrad McFadyen, Mariah McFadyen, Mathew McFadyen, Bionca Sampson, Emma Sampson, Jeni Williams; and 15 great-grandchildren.
John was a retired lieutenant from the Metropolitan Police Department. He was also a retired Chief Magistrate in Maury County, TN. John was a generous and kind man who was always willing to go out of his way to help others. He was a family man who always put his children first. John was a man of strong faith and was a member at Mt. Pleasant First Baptist Church. He loved horses, Westerns, and of course his cowboy boots. John was a wonderful man who touched the lives of everyone who knew him, he will truly be missed.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, June 19, 2017 from 3-8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 2pm with a two hour visitation prior.
