Captain John T. Narramore's Obituary
Retired Captain John Thomas Narramore passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. John was born on May 7, 1953 in Columbia, TN
John served the community he loved as a Captain for the Nashville Fire Department for 42 years before his retirement, he also served his country proudly as an Army Medic. John loved spending time with his family and friends, he especially loved spending the day boating on the lake where he was always the captain. He cared deeply for his family and cared for his mother and sister in the final years of their lives as he always served others before himself. When John was younger he was a counselor at the Easterseals Camp where he met some of his lifelong friends that he would gather with for their family Thanksgiving every year.
John is survived by his wife Marianne Denault; daughter Caitlin Narramore (Andy Cobb); son Patrick Narramore; brothers Jerry Narramore (Susan), Bill Davis (Jan); nieces and nephews Amy McWaters (Brian), Laura Davis, Will Narramore; great niece and nephew Anna and Davis McWaters. He is also survived by his best friend of 53 years Dale Winders.
He was preceded in death by his mother Julia Narramore and his sisters Ann Davis and Kay Winchester.
John’s visitations will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 2-6 PM and Friday from 2-6 PM at the Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery at 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216. John’s Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11 AM.
