Mr. John T. Price's Obituary
John Thomas Price Jr, age 85, peacefully entered heaven March 20, 2021. John was born in Nashville, January 17, 1936, to John Thomas Price and Margaret Harris Price. He graduated from East High School a celebrated Eagle athlete, excelling at all East High sports. After graduation he served proudly as a United States Marine and played for the Marine Corps football team. For years he owned an automobile dealership on Gallatin Road in East Nashville before retiring.
John was preceded in death by his wife Betty Price and sister Judy Lindley. He is survived by his daughter Sherri Siske, son Mike Price, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Additionally he is survived by his sisters Martha Jean DePasquo, Brenda Jarrett, Marion Hamilton, and brother Walter "Skip" Ward.
John and Betty were faithful members of Neely's Bend Baptist Church where Betty taught Sunday school and John served as deacon. He was the church's well-loved senior citizen bus driver, amusing members while he shuttled them to many outings. Affectionately known to family as "Buck" and "Dee," he was a bright spot in the lives of so many who loved him.
A graveside military service will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison, TN, on Thursday, March 25, at 1:00pm. There will be a graveside visitation from 12:30-1:00pm. Pastor Gordon Donahoe will be officiating.
