John Wayne “Lil Wayne” Williams, Jr, 52, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday September 19, 2021. Born August 8, 1969, in Nashville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late John Wayne “Big Wayne” Williams, Sr., and Juanita Jackson Williams.
Wayne was a mechanic who loved working on cars and racing them at Highland Rim Speedway and Nashville Fairgrounds. There was truly nothing that he couldn’t fix. He was dearly loved by all of his children.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Shania Porter; brother Charles Hardin; sister Christy Hardin.
He is survived by his wife, Penny Williams; children Jay Jay (Alainah) Williams, Joey (Becky) Williams, Christopher Hampton, Ashley Marie Williams, Alex and Aaron Porter, Porsha Freels, Aarika Porter, and Josh Porter; grandchildren Desiree, Hailey, Stormy, Jaylah, Journee, Nathan, Preston, Serenity, Braylon, Rose, Ava Jane, Honey Mae, and Christopher Jr.; brothers Greg (Jolene) Williams, Jonathan (Amanda) Wilhite, Kenneth (Eric) Wilhite, Timothy Wayne Williams, and Toney Hardin; his former wife and the mother of his children Rochelle Williams.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 26, at Spring Hill Funeral Home from 3 PM until 8 PM. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service with Pastor Donnie Bryant officiating will take place at 12 PM noon on Monday, September 27, at the funeral home. The family will receive friends and visitors two hours prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
