Mr. John Young's Obituary
John Young of Sumner County Passed away on August 6, 2019, surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Young and Alice Schotty Young.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen young; step-sons, Rex Bice, Rodney (Lori) Bice; step-daughters, Rosie Gilmore, Rhonda (Glenn) Richardson, Robin (Bo) Smith, Crystal (Paul) Brinkley, Ashley Bice; step-grandchildren, Laura Stevens, Julie Mallotte, Georgie Bice, Sharron Travino, Amy Richardson, Karen Richardson, Grant Richardson, Wendel Asberry, Kenneth Asberry, Tasha Asberry, Christopher (Ashlee) Brinkley, Chloe Brinkley; step- great-grandchildren, Jeremy Pline, Tristian Stevens, Dalton Stevens, Casen Brinkley, Camden Brinkley; and his furry, four-legged son, Duke.
John served in the Army and was a WWII veteran. He loved music and even played the trumpet. John was full of life and always had a positive attitude. He loved dancing and laughing at the little things. John adored children and enjoyed dressing up as Santa Clause around Christmas time. He loved God and was strong in his faith. When he retired, he worked for Fifty Forward, where he could continue his ministry. He was affiliated with the Gospel Music Association. John has an infectious personality and touched the lives of so many. He will truly be missed.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 2-8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will take place on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 11am with a 2-hour visitation prior.
