Johny was the first person to offer me work after moving to Tennessee, his ability to navigate around Nashville and surrounding cities was impressive and looking back i have to think he wasn't just driving us to each job location he was actually showing me around and sharing shortcuts and ways to bypass traffic like only locals could. I'm somewhat of a shy dude and having to shout at him sitting on his bad side in passenger seat to answer questions and share in conversations actually helped me speak with conviction, johnny was a very kind man who was blunt, honest, and would always tell you the honest truth even if you didn't like it , he gave people 2nd chances and if you respected him as he did you well then you had a friend that would always offer to help you and keep his word too!

its been a while Ghee! hope the lord got my letter and gave you some Dually wings!
thanks for showing me around and giving me the chance to show people i wasnt scared of hard work which lead to a decent career rather quick! your thought of and brought up in conversation by friends quite often. see ya when i see ya!

I am soo sorry to hear this, Johnny was one of my/ our customers for years.. He always had a great story to tell and quoted his dad a lot.. Johnny was a friend to all, he will be truly missed .. TIP big guy..

Dale was my first everything, my first kiss, my first love, my first husband and I loved him with all my heart. We made lots of memories then and lots of memories just recently that I will never forget. When I needed you, you were there and I will forever be grateful. We have laughed and cried together and I will miss him for the rest of my life. I know that you are having an amazing time with all the family and friends who have gone before you but save a spot for me.. I will be there. I can't wait to see Jesus, mama, you and Mike and everyone else. Rest in the Lord Dale...Love you!!

I was Johnnys pastor at Hillhurst Baptist Church and as we merged Alta Loma with Hillhurst. I was most pleased to know him as a Best Friend. Not unlike me, Johnny was a "big guy" but his heart was bigger than he was. No one ever had a need that Johnny just let pass by him; he strived to help others. Johnny was a "doer"; he had little time for committees and protocol that slowed up progress and delayed getting the job done. He used his resources freely and stood behind his decisions. He loved God and desired to please Him; he tried his best to serve Him by helping others.
I will miss Johnny greatly!
No one is perfect... I'm an example of that myself; but he had a heart for God that has taken him through the portals of Heaven and given him eternal life and the ability to breathe easy, move freely and even sing praises to God without restriction.
I loved my buddy Johnny and will miss our conversations.
Thank You Lord for giving me a wonderful friend; they are in short supply these days!
