Jose Melchor Becerra, 66, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2021. Born April 20, 1954 in Mexico, he was the son of the late Alejandro Melchor and Victoria Becerra.
Jose was employed with Stratus of Nashville. He and his wife attended Sagardo Corazon de Jesus. He’ll be remembered for keeping a wonderful garden full of tomatoes, cucumbers, habaneros and other vegetables and peppers. He loved singing and watching old movies.
He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years Cecilia Melchor; sons Cesar (Maria Gomez) Melchor, Miguel (Maria) Melchor, and Jose (Claudia) Garcia; daughter Erika (Jose) Ochoa; several brothers and sisters; grandchildren Jesus Gomez, Grettell Gomez, Giselle Gomez, Cesar J. Melchor, Natalia Melchor, Samantha A. Melchor, Jose M. Garcia, Jr., Jennifer Garcia, Jessica Garcia, Vanessa Melchor, Michelle Melchor, and Miguel A Melchor, Jr.; great grandchildren Aurora and Zachary.
A memorial service will be held 2 PM Friday, February 5, 2021 at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. Inurnment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
