Mr. Joseph William Halterman's Obituary
Joseph (Joe) William Halterman of Marseilles, Illinois passed away on February 11, 2020 in Nashville, TN. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jake and Irma Halterman, and his father, Joseph V. Halterman. He is survived by his wife of more than 39 years, Patricia Ann (Quinn) Halterman, his kids, Melissa Muraira, Jennifer Heppner (Bobby), and Timothy Halterman (Angie), his grandkids, Savannah, Gabriella, Malachai Halterman and Levi, Isaiah, and Olivia Muraira, his siblings, Jake Halterman (Paula), Debbie Kilgore (Fred), Tim Caputo (Kathy) and Rudy Caputo (Michelle), his aunt, June Caputo, his step mother, Nora Halterman, many cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, and his favorite dogs, Brady and Bailey.
Joe was one of the kindest and happiest men who walked this earth. He lived his life to the fullest and loved his family to the max. His greatest pride and joy came from being a husband, dad, and grandpa. You could always find him at his kids’ and grandkids’ sporting or school events where he was well loved by all of their friends. He was a talented drummer and songwriter who spent many of his years touring with some of country music’s greatest stars. He was passionate about his family, music, his dogs, gardening, and he was an enthusiastic facebook user.
He will be sorely missed every day but his family will carry on his legacy by loving big, being thankful for everything, never holding grudges, and laughing and joking every chance possible.
Visitation with the family will be at Restoring Hope Church, 1041 Center Point Road, Hendersonville, on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, from 2-6 pm, with a memorial service starting at 6 pm. Joe was uninsurable because of his kidney disease, so if desired, donations could be made to Regions Bank for Joe and Trish Halterman of Lebanon, TN.
