Mr. Joseph Wilbur Knight's Obituary
Joseph Wilbur Knight, 88, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019. He was born April 8, 1931 in Estill Springs, Tennessee to the late Murray Knight and Bessie Reavis Knight.
Joseph served his country proudly in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Madison and was a fan of the University of Nebraska football team.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Jeanette Knight; sister Jane K. Chitwood; stepchildren Tom & Tammy Quinn, and Pat & Paul Hoffman, Jason Allen; sister-in-law Sandra (Tony) Everhart; brother-in-law James (Sandra Jo) Ellison; nieces Angelia Chitwood and Kasey (Austin) Kitchen; nephew Stephen Chitwood; great nephews Matthew Fesmire and Bryan (Amy) Chitwood; great nieces Melanie Chitwood and Abi Kitchen; step-grandchildren Kayla Quinn, Chad Allen, and Travis Allen; step great nephews Randy (Joyclyn) Ellison and Scott (Kate) Ellison.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 3 PM until 5 PM. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service with Rev. Joe Martin officiating will be held on Thursday, October 17 at 11 AM with family receiving friends an hour prior to services. Military honors and burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Skip James Lewis, Stephen Chitwood, James Ellison, Tony Everhart, Wendell Cargile, Don Stewart, Don Ball and Mike Sullivan.
