Mr. Joseph "Brother Joe" Kpana Quamoh's Obituary
Joseph "Brother Joe" Kpana Quamoh, age 72, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 in Franklin, Tennessee. Joseph was born on December 5, 1946 in Sierra Leone.
He graduated from Fisk University with his Masters Degree in Sociology. He was retired after more than 40 years of service working for the state of Tennessee Prison System. “Brother Joe” was a member of the Schrader Lane Church of Christ and had previously preached at Scott Avenue Church of Christ, Dickson 2nd Street Church of Christ, and East Main & Arnold Church of Christ in Murfreesboro.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Deandre Tejan Kpana-Quamoh in 2016.
He is survived by his sons Karimu Kpana Quamoh and Samuel (Terrice) Kpana Quamoh; grandchildren Jaylenn Kpana Quamoh and Alexus Kpana Quamoh.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Schrader Lane Church of Christ 1234 Schrader Lane, Nashville, TN, 37208. A celebration of life funeral service will be Saturday, January 5, 11 AM at the church with family receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
