Mr Joseph Kelly Meeker's Obituary
Joseph Kelly Meeker, age 54, of Madison, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. Joseph was born on September 23, 1963 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Herbert Washington Meeker and Maria Luisa Morales.
Joseph was a singer and songwriter who enjoyed playing guitar. He played football for Father Ryan’s High School and St Joseph’s School wearing #35. He was a member of the 1981 Father Ryan’s team that went undefeated through the regular season and lost in the championship game. He was a devout catholic who loved his children and family. Joseph took great pride in being a nurse and helping others.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Ralph and Charles Meeker.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Meeker; two daughters, Karolynn Meeker and Kalynn Meeker; a son, Joseph Meeker; a brother, George Meeker; sisters Rita Meeker and Sara Luisa (John Richard) Layne; grandchild Braydon Siler, Charles McAlister (and Charles’ father Christian McAlister) and Jeremiah Munns (and Jeremiah’s father Darren Munns); nephews Charles Stokley, Steven Stokley, Sean Layne, John Paul Layne; nieces Ashlee Stokley, Leslie Layne and Amanda Givens (and Amanda's children Kelsey, Kaitlyn and Abigail); his sister-in-law Missy Stokley; and the mother of his children, Karen Ragland.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 15th from 4 PM to 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 16th at 1 PM at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Madison with family receiving visitors from 11 AM till 1 PM mass. Burial will follow in the Hudgins Cemetery in Fairview.
