Joseph Scott "Scotty" Phillips' Obituary
Joseph Scott “Scotty” Phillips, 72, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on April 27, 1952, to Hubert Ray Phillips and Hazel W. Owens Phillips.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sisters, Sherry (Kenneth) Hinkle and Debra Singer.
Those who have passed on before him are his parents Hubert Phillips and Hazel Phillps, and brothers, Anthony “Lugo” Ray Phillips and Hubert “Strawmatt” Eugene Phillips.
Scotty was good big brother that watched out for his younger siblings.
Scotty loved music and would spend all free time playing guitar. He was accomplished enough to join several combos during the mid to late 1970s.
Scotty was personable and friendly and had a broad friend group. He met many of those while working at Shelby Diner in East Nashville.
