Joy B. Pike's Obituary
PIKE, Joy B. age 77 of Nashville, TN. formerly of Red Boiling Springs, TN. passed away Saturday morning September 19, 2009 in Panama City Beach, Florida where she was vacationing with friends. Joy was born April 13, 1932 to Grace and Sam Beasley of Nashville, TN. Along with her parents, her 4 siblings and daughter precede her in death. Joy is survived by her children: Susan Diane Vinson Miracle (Paul), Reba Pike Hilton (Laban), James Michael Pike (Pam) and Samuel Thomas Pike (Cheri). Grandchildren: Paula Miracle Geist (John), Danielle Perritt Cole, Scott Thomas Pike, and Rebekah Ashleigh Hilton. Great Grandchildren: Emily Geist, Matthew Geist, Christopher Geist, Ava Peters, Grant Peters, Kaylee Cawthon, Josie Davis Wyant. Joy enjoyed living in Red Boiling Springs for 8 years managing the Armour's Red Boiling Springs Hotel and will be missed by all of her family and friends. Joy was retired from the Metropolitan Police Dept with over 25 years of service, Apartment management over 15 years with Brent Hurd, managed Bed & Breakfast in Red Boiling Springs, TN, for over 8 years. The family will receive friends at Spring Hill Funeral Home 5110 Gallatin Rd., on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM and where funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 1PM with Pastor Ralph J. Wheaton officiating. A Wake service will be Friday morning at 10:30am with Rev. Michael D' Souza of St. Pius X residing. Visitation will begin from 11am until service time at 1:00 PM,Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
