Joyce L. Frederich Vloedman's Obituary
Joyce L. Frederich Vloedman, 71, loved her family with all her heart, died, December 9th, at her daughter’s Nashville, TN home after a battle with cancer, surrounded by her family.Joyce was born April 15th 1940 in Miami Shores, FL. She attended Miami Edison HS and graduated from University of Miami, 1962. Her loves included tennis, bridge, golf, friends, and most of all being a mother and grandmother. She had homes in St. Augustine, FL, and Beech Mountain, NC often fondly referred to as “summer camp”. She leaves a legacy in her family: daughters, Karen Cassidy of Nashville, TN and Jennifer Angel of St. Johns, FL.; grandchildren, Sara Cassidy, Frederich Cassidy, Sydney Joyce Angel, Zachary Ano Angel, Jacob Dean Angel; brother Walter Frederich; and her companion of 16 years Ray LaForge. She is predeceased by husband and father of her girls, Derk A. Vloedman and her sisters, Alice Ruhl, Betty Adams, and her twin sister Joan Radford. Her family and friends will mourn her death and celebrate the life she shared with us.Joyce, you will be a special part of the lives of all of us who have been lucky enough to know you. Your wit and humor belong uniquely to you alone. We thank God that you were sent to share your life with us, however, shorter than we would have liked. You will be missed until we are together again! A Celebration of Life for close friends and family will be held at her home in St. Augustine, FL on Sunday December 18th 2-4.
