Juanita Thompson Bobbitt's Obituary
Juanita T. Bobbitt, age 100 of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023. She was born on April 22, 1923, to the late Betty and Taylor Thompson of Putnam County TN.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life Charles R. Bobbitt, Sr. who she celebrated 72 years of marriage together. She is survived by her only son, Charles R. Bobbitt, Jr. (JoAnn), his grandchildren Olivia Ruth Balding (Austin), John Charles Bobbitt (Chelsea) and Joseph Daniel Bobbitt (Ada), as well as her great grandchildren, Charlie Bobbitt and Isla Bobbitt.
Juanita was a graduate of Baxter Seminary, Class of 1943. After graduation she moved to Nashville, TN and took a job riveting the floors in P-38 Fighter planes. Through mutual friends, she was introduced to the man who would stand by her side for over 72 years. She often worked doing secretarial jobs and Retired as a Bible Proof reader for Thomas Nelson Publishers. She was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Junior High Girls Sunday School, and being an active member of her own Sunday School class.
A graveside service will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery on Monday, November 6, 2023; at 1:00 p.m.
