Since the late 60s we have known each other, meeting first at Social Studies functions with Lucille and Mark. Little did we know of the challenges that we would experience as our careers continued. As the decades rolled by our educational environment changed and sometimes we were unsure of our future.
As you developed into your leadership rolls you made your friends proud of you and helped us to steer though the challenges that we faced. Still, when we got together you provided us with comradery and still managed to make our work fun. I recall preparing for Social Studies Inservice at J. T. Moore, stuffing packets, moving materials, Haroldene lovingly "mothering" all of us, lunches, advice, Williamsburg, guiding historic tours for the Social Studies teachers - all under your leadership. You were the glue that held us together and the inspiration that we needed. You had far more, and difficult challenges, and you handled each situation with grace.
My career and life has been richer because of my friend Judy. You will be missed, but fondly remembered.
When I go don't learn to live without me,
just learn to look for me in the moments.
I will be there.
