I just found out about Jill. She was a good friend and a smart, dedicated woman. We shared the same birthday and rides between Greenville and Anna with great discussions. I will miss her. To her family I share their sorrow. Walt McIntyre
I have so many good memories of Jill. We met through our jobs at the Illinois State Police lab in the late 80s. Back then there was Jill, Marla and I and a group of us there in our 20s and 30s and we had a lot of fun exploring parts of Chicago, Oak Park and the area, trying different restaurants, beers, shops, plays, horse races, a comedy club or two, a Victorian tea, holiday events, a millennium party, visits to the zoo-- many good times. Later when Jill moved downstate there were fun trips to the Missouri hills for wine tasting, and in later years more horse races in Illinois and Kentucky. I admired how she took on a whole new career mid-life and became a lawyer ,and also taught college chemistry for a while. She had a cool variety of work and life experiences- from sampling Chicago area life to finally settling in the south with love of her life Tim. She was kind, smart, funny and we had some great talks. I will miss Jill and want to express my sympathies and wishes for peace and comfort to her family and loved ones.

Jill was my best friend in high school and we stayed very close for many years after. Her mother was a second mother to me. I watched her life unfold as she did mine. Some how we lost touch but I always thought about her. We saw each other at our high school reunion in 2010 and it was like we had never been apart. I wish we had reconnected when she moved to Nashville but for some reason we didn't. I know if we had, it would have been like we never had been apart. I am so sad to know I will never get the chance to talk to her again. Sincere condolences to her brothers, and to the family. I'm so sorry Tim! Thinking of you during this difficult time.
I’m so sorry to hear of this. Jill and Tim were both friends of mine in high school. My thoughts and prayers are with Tim and the family.
I will always remember my friend Julia. She was a wonderful friend and a friend to my mother.
I will miss this sweet soul though I only saw her at class reunions. She always wore a big smile for me when I would see her. My heart hurts for her family, especially classmate Tim. I have felt this same loss. May the light from this little girl shine for us the rest of our days...
I owe so much to Jill. People may not be aware that while working at the Illinois State Police, she stepped in to take a transfer to start our new toxicology lab in Chicago. It was going to be staffed by myself and another freshly trained person. Jill saw that sending two newbies into such a situation might not work so well. She sacrificed to ensure the quality of forensic services for that service area.
I will always remember Jill for her kindness, intelligence and empathy.
Jill was a very close and good friend in high school, my maid of honor and the answer to more than one security questions. She worked hard to keep our friendship alive, she in school and I struggling as a new mother. Jill took me out for my first legal drink on the 21st birthday. We touched base off on on, somewhere in the late 90’s I lost track of her, Facebook allowed me to find out that she and a Tim continued to write their story. I imagine that she was a great step mom and an amazing Grandma. I wish we had reconnected. The gift is I know her life was happy and she was fullfilled by her connection to family. To those that are her family I cannot fathom your sorrow and sense of loss. My family will keep you all in our thoughts. Time will soften your grief and Jill will be with you all always. Her light and love showing the way.
