Juliana Elvira Trotman's Obituary
Juliana Elvira Trotman of Nashville, Tennessee, departed this life on February 18th, 2023. She was born in Trinidad on February 13th, 1944 to Laban and Josephine Glasgow.
Juliana was a beloved wife, daughter, aunt, great-aunt, and friend. She immigrated to the United States from Trinidad in the late 60’s, and had lived in Florida and New York before settling in Nashville, Tennessee for nearly 25 years. She was a vibrant and compassionate woman, full of grace, class, and sincerity. She had a gift for connecting with people and making them feel at ease as a massage therapist. She had previously worked for Chase Manhattan Bank as a computer analyst, and was also an ordained minister. She was a champion bowler and was a part of a bowling league for years. Her sweet presence will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved her.
Juliana is preceded in death by her parents Laban and Josephine, and her beloved husband Alvin Trotman. She is survived by her siblings Joanna Bennett, Patricia Crawford, Mathias Glasgow, Josiah Glasgow, Joan Roberts, Jonathan Glasgow, and James Glasgow; nieces Cheryl Charlton, Dianne London, Kerry Glasgow, and Sylvina Glasgow; nephews Curtis Forestine, and Clinton Glasgow; and a multitude of extended relatives of the Scott, Glasgow, William, Barker, and Tobias families.
The family will receive guests for visitation at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 28th, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with a chapel service and burial to follow at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
