Julie Jackson Smith's Obituary
Julie Jackson Smith, age 54 of Hendersonville went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born in Madisonville, KY on February 20, 1958, the daughter of Elder Verne Jackson and Mary Ruth Jackson, who preceded her in death. She attended Nashville public schools and received an Associates of Science degree in dental hygiene at East Tennessee State University. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Alan Smith; their children, Nathan Smith of White House, TN and Rachael Smith of Gainesville, GA; brothers, David (Debora) Jackson of Nashville, TN and Mark (Calie) Jackson of Dickson, TN; and many other dear family members and cherished friends. Julie was a true blessing. Her kind, caring and loving ways will be sadly missed but will live on through all that knew her. A celebration of Mrs. Smith’s life will be conducted at 11 A.M., Saturday, November 10, 2012 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Elder Ronald Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers. Julie’s many adored dental hygiene patients will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M., Friday, November 9, 2012 and from 9 A.M. until the time of service, Saturday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted; however memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the American Cancer Society.
