Mrs. June Lafferty's Obituary
June Marie Cummings Lafferty was born on January 23, 1925. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Cato Cummings and Myrtle Sue Spurlock Cummings Smith, her husband John Augustus Lafferty, Jr. and son Ronald Patrick (Pat) Lafferty.
She is survived by sons, Larry John Lafferty, Sr., Jack Miller Lafferty and Michael Bruce Lafferty, Sr., daughter Cheryl Sue Reynolds, twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
A caregiver by nature, she fiercely loved her five children and played the role of Super-Mom the full 94 years of her life, 353 child years. That same love carried her into the field of nursing where she earned her degree at age 50 and continued to serve others through retirement.
The family extends a very special thank you to Howard Yates who provided continuous care, comfort and joy for the last 12 plus years of her life. He made her smile.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 5 pm until 7 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home with an additional visitation on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 10 am until the time of the celebration of life service at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
