Karen Ruth Hamberger's Obituary
Hamberger, Karen Ruth, 62, born December 16, 1959, in Glendale, California and died June 26, 2022, in Madison, Tennessee, due to breast cancer. She loved God, people and served students in educational institutions as Dean of girls at Wisconsin Academy, Associate Dean of Women at Andrews University, Registrar at Broadview Academy, and Academic Dean at Madison Academy. Karen took amazing photographs, loved to travel, and invested time and energy with her students and colleagues. Karen loved animals especially deer and cats. She is survived by her husband, David Hamberger, and son Jeffrey Hamberger; her mom Gloria Leggitt; her sister Susan Padilla and her husband Dan Padilla, their children Lacie Smithee, Tori Padilla, and Emma Padilla and three grandchildren: Abilene, Braelynn, and Colton; her brother Dr. Leroy Leggitt and his wife Sandra Leggitt, their daughter Dr. Carly Villarreal and her husband Dr. Logan Villarreal, and their son Oliver. Her dad, Dr. Varner Leggitt preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held on Madison Campus Church on July 16th, 2022, at 3:30 pm. The service will be live streamed for those unable to attend in person.
