Ms. Katherine Flatt's Obituary
Mary Katherine Flatt, age 93, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee. Katherine was born on November 13, 1925 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Adrian Herman Carver and Johnetta Stanley.
Katherine enjoyed going to the goodwill shopping and getting some good deals. She loved going to Starbucks and drinking coffee, her favorite being chocolate mocha. She enjoyed making cakes for her family and enjoyed anytime that she was able to go out and eat. Going to Wendy’s and getting frosty’s were among her favorite thing to do. She loved looking at flowers and giraffes. Katherine cherished greatly the life that she had been blessed with.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her two husbands, Christopher Dayton Major and James Earl Flatt and a son, Billy Earl Flatt.
Katherine is survived by her daughters, Connie Major and Sheila Kaye Foster; son, Kenneth Dayton Major; brother, Richard Carver; sister, Betty Oliver; ten grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren as well as great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 4 pm – 8 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home with an additional visitation on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 12 pm until the time of service beginning at 2 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Gladys Hart officiating. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Adam Light, Matthew Light, Aaron Valdez, Alex Sanchez, Caine Martin and Jonathan Ferreri.
