Mrs. Katherine L. Kirby's Obituary
Katherine (Kathy) Louise Frye Kirby age 66, departed this life on July 17, 2021 in Hermitage, Tennessee. She was born on October 11, 1954 in Nashville to Louise Frye and the late Louis Frye. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, James Frye; Kathy was married to Mark Kirby in August 1972. They were married 48 years
In 1973 Kathy began working for American General Life and Accident. Then she went to work at Greenich and then to work for Frank L Smith company where she left to open a Christian book store in the Rivergate mall. Kathy was an artist and a photographer. She created a number of beautiful pieces that she shared with family and friends. She loved to fish with her husband, Mark and loved spending time with her son, Colin.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Kirby Hendersonville TN, Son, Colin Kirby of Hendersonville TN, daughter, Erin Rae Kirby of Clearwater Florida, grandchildren, Anna and Jaxson of Florida and mother, Louise Frye of Madison TN.
Visitation for Kathy will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday July 21, 2021 from 10 AM until 11 AM at which time a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
