Mrs. Katherine Estelle Preuett's Obituary
Katherine Preuett, 86, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Born January 25, 1937, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Warnack and Jettora Ligon Warnack.
Katherine was a graduate of Cumberland High School in Nashville. She was a member of Bordeaux United Methodist Church and Jordonia United Methodist Church. Katherine had a green thumb and maintained a garden that had beautiful orchids and delicious vegetables. She was also a wonderful baker and would often make wedding cakes and birthday cakes for family, friends, and members of her church. It can easily be argued that Katherine perfected buttercream icing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Jesse Edward Preuett; brother Clyde Warnack; sisters Ruth Waller and Joan West.
She is survived by four sons, Jerry Preuett (Tammy), Jeffrey Preuett, Jonathan Preuett (Barbara), Jay Preuett (Amy); one daughter, Judy Preuett Holland; brother Tommy Warnack (Linda); grandchildren Amanda Preuett, Jason & Joshua Preuett, Jon Michael Preuett, Will Preuett (Beth), and Skylar Preuett; great grandchildren Lilly Preuett and Jacob Preuett; and a host of nieces, nephews and “Margret”.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29 from 10 am until 1 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A graveside service officiated by Reverend Rosemary Brown will follow at 1 pm in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers.
