Kathey Anne Davis' Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Kathey Anne Davis on October 12th, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born to the late Odie Sims and Clara Lucille (Litchford) Sims on March 13th, 1954 in Nashville. After Odie's death from leukemia when Kathey was just a little girl, Lucille married again a couple of years later. Her new husband, Kenneth Baxter, became Kathey's father and the love they shared was beyond measure.
Kathey was a big kid at heart, with a heart of gold and an infectious laugh. She was the middle child of three, and her brothers were her protectors in their upbringing. She had a variety of skills and talents and was especially proud to have served as a certified nurse technician. She loved working in the daycare and preschool with Hermitage Hills Baptist Church and raised her family at Tulip Grove Baptist Church. She embodied strength and courage, and would be the first in line to defend her family. She carried that fierce love with all the tenderness and sweetness in the world. She was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Lucille, and her brother Curtis Sims. She is survived by her husband Ed Davis; children Kristy Seaborn, Corey Seaborn, and Kayla Seaborn; grandchildren Hunter (Angel) Faler and Logan Faler; brother Kelvin Baxter; family friend Diane Beals; and a host of beloved friends.
A memorial service will take place on Sunday, October 16th, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at a private graveside service at a later date at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
